portland design inspiration
As I've been anticipating moving into our new home, I'm constantly on pinterest & houzz looking and looking and looking for inspration and ideas for decor, furniture, colors and more. While on Houzz I stumbled across some work of Garrison Hullinger Interior Design, a Portland-based interior design firm. I love looking at Portland design because the color palate, home structure and taste are usually more in line with what I'm drawn to. Take a look at their website, houzz page and blog - what do you see that inspires you? Here are a few that are inspiring me:

housekeeping
looking for a little laundry room inspiration... my new laundry room is tiny with no sink. Loving this smart idea to get front entering washer & dryer and building a table on top so you have a spot to fold and put things. Has anyone done this!?

ghost chair
Have had my eye on these transparent chairs lately. They work great in small spaces (obviously) as the the lack of color takes up less space in a room. I'm thinking a chair like this would go great in those homes with "mom desks" in the kitchen. I may have to get myself one! Anyone have a favorite they've bought?

dream home:: the outside
Brian and I are getting antsy to buy a new house. We are SO grateful for the one we have been in for 3 years but we think 2012 MAY be the year of a new home?? We shall see what the Lord has in store for us. In the meantime.. I think I need to start putting together my ideal :)
