still house hunting...

Our house sold a few months ago and we are living in my in  laws basement while we search. It's a super hard process, a big investment that we don't want to take lightly. We'd love a house in a great neighborhood to grow into with a few bedrooms! I'm open to making changes with the house we buy, just no knocking down walls so we need a great floor plan that we like.  A few other things we are looking for:

Young Life camp is my most favorite. 10 years ago I heard about a different kind of God than I ever had before, one that loved me! ME! and more specifically that He wanted a relationship with me, we could talk, hang out, He would protect me, heal me, make the best choices for me. My life has not been the same since that day I made a commitment June 28 2002.

Now, I get to spend this week praying for my sweet high school girls to make that same choice if they are ready. Girls that I love so much I can't even imagine how God loves them.

Have you ever been to a Young Life camp? Anyone else meet Christ at at Young Life camp?

organized: Kitchen Pantry

I did a little organizing work this week at a sweet friend's house. We were chatting away and, like always, I got too excited to start and forgot to take before/after pictures...

1. Assess: open up all of the cupboards, create what we think is a good flow for her use of her kitchen, are the dishes and cups in the best place? do the things they use the most on the bottom shelves or hard to access?

2. Buy: She wanted this look of jars & baskets so she bought 4 to start with. She had these jars already which were great to add in some style.

3. Take it all out: I know this seems counter productive but it's way easier to create the space you want when it's a blank canvas!

4. Get rid of what you don't need/use: pretty self explanatory

5. Store what you don't use often: choose a space in your garage or a closet to store those items you don't use daily: picnic baskets, extra plates etc.

6. Put it all back organized!!

the result?? more space than she ever knew she had! I love it when that happens.
