I want to escape. Why does it feel like all of the most impotant things in life get clouded by the things you have to do? Why do we need money to live in this world? And why do we have to waste our days in a place that drains us and makes us unhappy and leaves us no time for the things that we love to do and the things that really matter in life?

dreaming today and seeking the Lord to be in a space of calm and peace.

....I have't had my coffee or quiet time today.... and it's cloudy and cold outside

  1. I've had these exact thoughts. It doesn't make sense, does it? I think our only hope is to find a job that truly makes us happy. I'm lucky to enjoy my job and not mind coming to work and spending time with my coworkers, but I still dream of some other careers that might be more fulfilling. Hang in there, you'll find your path soon!

  2. This seems to be what a lot of people are feeling these days. I so connected with what you posted here. Of course, not the cloudy and cold part. That would do a lot in improving my mood actually. It has been and continues to be brutally hot here. I just wrote a blog post about simplifying my life. My husband and I are in the process of doing that so that we can enjoy what we want to do as opposed to what we have to do. Life is meant to be lived and not endured. Best wishes!! Candace

  4. A romantic (beautifully styled, no less) dinner right on the beach would be the perfect escape!

  5. Thank you for sharing this post. I am a new reader! I often wish that there was more time to do those things that are important to us and not important to do because we have to. I hope that you are able to find some quiet moments to escape and just enjoy life!
