2 things I love around my home
2 things today!! Playing along with Kassi

YAYA 2 things I love around my home
I get so excited for this every other week. Thanks Kassi !!!
My 2 things this week
1. Vanity. I've had this since I was a little girl (see below- I had different priorities back then...) and I love it now. It makes me feel super feminine and I love having an organized place for all of my pretty things. It wasn't my husbands favorite at first but then I reminded him that if I didn't keep this stuff here then it would be more in his way.
2. My husbands paintings. He is super cute (and may be embarrassed that I am sharing these on the internet but I LOVE them)
This one he made me for my birthday a few years ago. This is from one of our favorite songs by Joshua Radin "it hasn't felt like home before you"
and this one he made me last Valentine's Day before our wedding. It is our wedding date, and I was struggling with wanting it to come faster. He thought that this might help- and it did!!

2 things I love around my home

1. "Love" sign - I fell in love with this at a vintage shop and had to have it. I ha(ve)d a slight obsession with this pattern of black & white!! It now resides in our home on one of our built-ins!
2. These pictures hanging in our hall. One of our bridal parties and one from our engagement session. I just looove them both-- really special to us.

2 things I love around my home
YAY I'm excited for another round.. I let my husband pick these this time because our house is messy and I didn't feel like picking up to get the things I love.
1. This vase and flowers (not sure why exactly... he did inform me though that he hates this picture frame... good to know??)
2. Our built-in shelving unit. We LOVE this. It's easy to decorate and change. Here it is right now for spring and also how we decorated for our first Christmas

2 things I love around my home
Playing along with Amanda today at the Newelly-Weds and looking around my house for things I love.. I feel like I have so many but I really want to pick 2 for now (I have trouble with these kinds of games.. I never want to play 'Would you Rather?' because it always just feels too real and committing) ... SO today:
1. My inspiration board in my laundryroom. In an attemtpt to spruce up my boring, white laundry room and having this old bulliten board from middle school... I put this together. Maggie, one of my best friends and I, love collaging- we've spent HOURS cutting things out of magazines and making journals, books, cards, inspiration pages. It is still something I love to do but I always seem to just tear things out of magazines and do nothing with them. This was my "doing something with them" :
2. I'm not totally sure why but I am loving this right now. The chest is from Brian's grandma and I love it. It's the place I keep all of my decor that I'm not using (something I think I got from my mom) -- vases, shelves, candles etc. The lamp I love and had it all throughout college, the vase my friend Jenna and I bought in college on a Target raid, the candle sticks are from my dad's best friends, a gift for our wedding. The big picture is from our engagement shoot that Brian had framed as a Valentine's gift last year and the small frame is engraved from my dear friend Amanda (who was my intern in the dining hall when I was on work crew) and her husband Matt, with our wedding date.

p.s. It's 6:36 and still light outside: I am really enjoying this!!!! I just cut flowers from our yard and put them all around our house! YAY
