community garden

There is an amazing community garden behind my house. I see pieces of it over the top of my fence but decided to explore around it the other day with my camera. Nature and God's creation in color is SO beautiful. Love it.

garden update

Here was the process before. Now we have some things growing and just about ready to eat!!

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!

Now hopefully Oregon will know it's summer and start acting more like it!!

My parents and husband built be a raised bed for my birthday :)

My parents put the wood together and Brian and I planted these little guys (in the pouring rain) about a month ago.

Here's what it's looking like today. They've been craving some sun so hopefully that will help today!

We didnt do all of the drainage stuff- I just water everyday :)

We have a perfect spot for it in our backyard, and I'm HOPING if there is no rain in the next few days, my dad and husband can build me a raised bed to start growing some veggies for the summer!!! It would realllly help me out with my cooking. Cooking for 2 makes it so hard to keep veggies fresh, if I have them at the tip of my fingers in my garden, problem solved!!!
