3.  My favorite color for fall is  oh goodness I love every fall color, I'm loving the dark forest green this year!

4. Something I've been learning lately is   ugh so much, being content? I think I'll always be working on this

5. A book I am reading now/have read recently is  Having a Mary Spirit

6. My favorite Pandora Station is  probably Mat Kearney or old school Brittney, Desnitny's Child, Backstreet Boys

7.  This weekend I will go to the high school football game tonight, run errands (looking for paint colors & appliances for the house) and hang with friends tomorrow & celebrate my cousins birthday

its been a while :)

1.  My favorite grade in school was   oh this is hard. 3rd because I had a great teacher and learned about Native Americans (?), 7th because of my classmates and teacher, sophomore year because I got to transfer out of private school back to public, or senior year because I loved my friends so much. 

2.  My favorite teacher was  Mr. King   because,   he made learning super fun and I actually remember things I learned from him in the 7th grade. and he was funny. He made me love the Outsiders, Shakespeare, CITYSTATES and lots of other things. He also started each class with "Tales of the UT" (untold) that were odd facts, that is where I did most of my learning.  He is now an awesome author in Portland, you can find his books here.

3.  The highest level of education I have completed is  bachelor's degree

4. School lunches for me were usually     made by my mom and gross healthier (therefore not as yummy) as all of my friends lunches

5. The amount of money you'd have to pay me to go back to high school would be  not much... as a Young Life leader I get paid nothing and go back all of the time :) I actually loved high school so much. yes there was always a little drama that I would take out but when I look back on it I don't remember that. I just remember all my incredible friends and the fellowship and community I had. I was so taken care of, so loved, so poured into. I would go back in a heartbeat.

6. A few things that will always remind me of going back to school are:  going to the beach for Labor Day like we do every year because it used to symbolize the end of the summer and a transition into school and now it just means I get a 4 day work week 

7.  The first day of school was always  really exciting because I got to organize all my new school supplies and see who was in my classes and felt excited for the school year, and football season.

1.   My idea of pure perfection would be   more time in the day and the week and people only having to work 4 days of the.

2.   Jesus's love & grace     makes the world go 'round.

3.  If it weren't for   responsibility     I'd   be on vacation all of the time  .

4.  Bloggers are   an inspiration, makes me so happy to be apart of this world .

5.  If I had    allll da money in the world   I'd buy you   a boat.. and a lake and a lake house to go with it  .

6.  I'm glad it's Friday because      bri and I are leaving for Bend to celebrate our 2nd anniversary   .

7.  Something I'm excited about is    my garden and the fall (i hate to say it already but I really DO love the fall and our summer here has been super dumb weather so I'm just ready to move on if its not going to get any warmer...)  .

The weather here in Portland has been crummy this week :( I am off tonight with my hubs, his sister, her husband, my sister and her boyfriend to Bend! If you all have been following my blog for a while you know that Bend is a place that I LOVE.

It's about 4 hours East of Portland in Central Oregon. The climate is more dessert, mountains, dry with lots of pine trees, lava rocks and HOPEFULLY sunshine. We are going to float the river, take long walks, go on bike rides, relax, get tan and spend some great time together.

#2. TWO of my very best friends started blogs this week. They are VERY worth reading. Both are amazing people, very witty, smart and fun. Guaranteed laugh and cry.  Go and check them out, they rock my world and I hope they'll rock yours too!

1.   People always tell me I look like      either Sarah Michelle Gellar when she was young and had dark hair or Jennifer Aniston? I WISH .

2.  Friends don't let friends    stay the same, they encourage each other to grow into better people.

3.  A sunny day is perfect for   boating. even though I never get to do it and I always want to, that is what a sunny day is perfect for .

4.  My favorite accessory is  my scarves I guess

5.  If I could afford it I would   oh my goodness so many things. Have a FAB wardrobe and lots of beautiful diamonds, redecorate.. heck, buy a new house, go on wonderful vacations. stay in nice hotels just for fun with my hubs.

6.  The cure for boredom is     calling a friend or watching FRIENDS, I could never be bored doing that   .

7.  I am currently "in like" with        this sunshine we are having here in Portland. FAB.

1.   I am currently obsessed with   my new camera and my pretty feather hair extension

2.  Today I am    happy and feeling less stressed    because,    the snow we got today was sooo beautiful, I stayed away from facebook so I would stop hearing everyone complain about too much or too little or that it wasn't snow or that they were off work ETC. my husband stayed home until lunch just for fun and worked from home and then the sun was shining all afternoon while I ran errands and got LOTS done . AND i booked our hotel for when we're in new york .... next weekend... I'm working on being more laid back & care free but I almost had a heart attack last night thinking of not having a place booked yet..

3.  The age I am is    23 1/2 :)    and the age I feel is    28? I've always felt much older than I actually have been, most of my life.

4.  My favorite place is     ohhh so hard. LOTS. Portland, Cedar Mill, Hartung Lake, Pacific City, Wildhorse Canyon.... 

5.  Something I have been procrastinating is     fixing my car :( My driver side door won't open... so I've been having to get in the passenger side door and climb over (so embarrassing...) and it's been a few days, weeks now... I need to call... like tomorrow...

6.  The last thing I purchased was       business cards offline!!!! :) 

7.  The thing I love most about my home is       just having one. I feel so blessed to have a roof over my head and get to share it with my best friend. I love my couch and being cozy on it.

1.   If my house was on fire and I could only grab 3 things I would grab      oh my gosh... my 10 seasons of FRIENDS (thats 1..), my computer and my new camera :)

3.  Something you might not know about me is       I was a child model and  my dad saved all of my money for me and gave to me when I graduated college and I loved it .

5.  This weekend I will     be going to a rehearsal dinner & wedding for a friend of my husbands (and mine :) ) and hopefully having a relaxing day saturday and sunday!!

6. Nothing makes me happier than     getting things done, sunshine, having a long quite time.

7.  A bad habit I have is      touching my face and my hair always which a new friend of mine pointed out :) 

is it friday already?

1.   New Year's is (awesome/lame/other)       refreshing. the night itself isn't that exciting for me, never has been but I love the idea of a new year, a fresh start.

2.  Last New Year's Eve I   was with friends of all ages in our community. we ate a lot, talked about our year, played a 2009 trivia game, and wrote letters to ourselves about how we want 2010 to be, our goals etc. We'll be getting our letters soon in the mail :) 

3.  My New Year's resolution is      newness, i am excited for a whole brand new me and life. new job, new outlook on life, my resolution is JOY .

4.  The best way to spend New Year's Eve is  " with friends in a low-key environment." - well put Lauren. stickin with that :)

5.  My prediction for an up-and-coming trend in 2011 is     oh gosh i have no idea 

6.  This New Year's Eve I will      .. not sure, should probably figure that out... most likely going to my sister-in-laws house to hang :)

7.  A fresh start is    so so wonderful. we all need fresh starts. i get in to ruts of living life a certain way and always love a chance to get to do a different dance.

1. Blogging is: an outlet for me for my incredibly uncreative day at work and a wonderful world I just stumbled upon because I was craving being creative during my days!


2. A current fashion trend I wish I was brave enough to wear is ... hmm.. not sure ...black leather skinnies? any shoe with a heel?

3. My greatest accomplishment in life thus far is : making it all the way through school. and all of the little accomplishments in being married and running a home etc.

4. If I had to choose between a mountain or a beach vacation I'd choose: ooo this is tough. I think I have to go with Beach. I love the Oregon Coast more than any place.. I have fallen in love with Bend over the last few years BUT it doesn't quite compare to how I feel relaxed at Pacific City

5. A talent I wish I had is to sing well. Brian is a musician and I always wish that we could be that cute couple that sings and plays guitar together, I also think that he would play more if I sang more.

6. A talent I do have is looking in the fridge and creating a meal, and making a space in a home feel comfortable and look cute with what you have.

7. This week has been brutal and I am so grateful for the weekend as well as the SUN

1. If I didn't have to work anymore I would ohhh this is the best question of my life-- so many things. have babies, be a really good cook, have a beautiful clean cute home, hang out with soo many high school girls, babysit until I had my own babies, craft, organize people's closets, drink coffee and have long quiet times, work out every day.. OH the dream list could go on and on

2. My favorite thing about a vacation is not having a lot of set plans, being able to be spontaneous and go with the flow. my regular life is not like that at all.

3. When packing for a trip I am all over the place. I've tried bringing lots of stuff, I've tried bringing not a lot, I've tried pre picked out outfits. Still haven't found the best place for me but packing is really easy for me. I go on weekend trips a lot and have gotten good at that!

4. If I could go on a road trip with anyone (dead OR alive) I would choose um. my husband?

5. My top 3 absolute travel essentials are my pillow, my facewash and my yoga pants

6. Vacations are so super wonderful.

7. On vacation you must always unplug and relax!

Filling in blanks on Friday because I am tired ... and feeling blah.

It's SUPER fun!!

1. Today for breakfast I ate Olivia's special smoothie made in my bullet! banana, frozen berries, sugar, rice milk. YUM.

2. My go to/never fail recipe is pork tenderloin. So easy and cheap to make and can feed lots of people. You just marinate it with olive oil, rosemary, balsamic vinegar. salt & pepper and then cook in the oven on 350 for like.. 30 minutes? I check it a lot to see so I never know the time something is supposed to be in for. I usually serve with rice and zucchini with Parmesan or asparagus

3. Something I eat that other people think is weird is probably a lot of what I eat is werid! I am allergic to gluten and dairy so my substitues are super off. I eat rice cakes and corn chips with a lot of things that people would never think to eat it with. I've had to get used to it... and my girlfriends do this now, but my lunch all through college would usually be: turkey meat, corn chips and humus... that i just eat with my hands. gross i know.

4. My worst cooking disaster ever was hmm... not sure if i've had anything noteworthy yet... i don't have that much time to cook/haven't tried a lot of new things...

5. If I could only eat one flavor of ice cream the rest of my life it would be oh i don't even know. pretty sure cake batter from cold stone but I would probably die from all the dairy... i love coconut and i love mango sorbet with strawberry sorbet...

6. One food I hate and avoid at all costs alllll seafood. i hate it all.

7. What is your favorite meal? Breakfast, lunch, or dinner?  hmm... i think breakfast. i don't eat a good breakfast that often but on a saturday, to have eggs and toast and fruit and coffee...mmmm so good. and i love bagels. although I am allergic to gluten.. ilove them.

P.P.S. the tile saw we were borrowing broke... so our kitchen project is slightly being posponed... until we fix the saw... we're read to do the counters! so ready. my kitchen sucks right now.

P.P.P.S. ALSO want to wish Liz from From Portland to Peonies a happy wedding weekend!!! I am so excited for her and can't wait to hear all about it. What's so fun is that Liz is getting married at the same venue that I did! It's so magical there!!!!

Hello my friends!! It finally feels like summer, it's been way hot this week and I am ready for need  a tan!!

I'm headed to Sunriver, OR this weekend for one of my best friend Jill's bachelorette party!! I'm excited for the heat, the sun, eating lots of fruit, girl time, the pool, the river, lots of laughs and celebrating Jill and her wonderful upcoming marriage!

Makes me think of my bachelorette weekend last summer- a wonderful time on the Oregon Coast. We cooked, watched Friends, played on the beach, roamed the streets of Seaside and drank some wine.

We had SUCH a blast- so relaxing and exactly what I needed and wanted!
